This show was curated by Rosie Hymerling as part of a celebration honoring Lee and Rosie Hymerling's 30+ years of creative support, leadership and stewardship of Markeim. Local artists using all kinds of mediums - oil and watercolor paints, mosaics, photography, sculpture and ceramics - contributed their art.

Join the Markeim to celebrate the legacy of Lee (1944-2021) and Rosie Hymerling, a loving duo who have been an integral part of the Markeim family for over 30 years.
To honor the Hymerlings for their endless support, vision, and influence at Markeim, we are hosting a commemoration event and opening reception for “Diversity Speaks: A Love for Life" on October 22, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 pm. The evening will feature live music, refreshments, and light snacks. “Diversity Speaks: A Love for Life” is a group show of local artists curated by Rosie Hymerling and will remain on view from October 22-December 9.
Open to all ages. Masks optional.

Stop by the Haddonfield Library and see our "Crafty Community Christmas Tree" and the other festive holiday trees! The online Tree Auction raises funds to support child wellness programs in the schools.

Souls Shot Portrait Project Exhibition – FREE EVENT
Markeim Arts Center 104 Walnut Street (Lincoln Ave & Walnut St), Haddonfield, NJ, United StatesExperience a compelling exhibition that features portraits celebrating survivors of gun violence and memorializing those whose lives it has tragically claimed. The Souls Shot Portrait Project Exhibition is compiled by pairing fine artists and subjects. Survivors, family, and friends provide insight and information to inspire the creation of the artwork. This moving collection fosters healing as loved ones are remembered in a positive light, helps bring attention to the epidemic of gun violence, and educates on ways to prevent it. Join us for the January 6th Opening Reception 6pm - 8pm. FREE to the community. Kids Cocoa Mugs, Cookies & Coats
School’s out for Martin Luther King Day of Service. Give your kids a fun afternoon of painting ceramic cocoa mugs, music and helping people in need in surrounding communities. We ask your warm hearts to help keep others warm this Winter. Please bring gently used/new coats, mittens or hats to Markeim Arts Center and we will deliver all collected items to a Goodwill.
