This show was curated by Rosie Hymerling as part of a celebration honoring Lee and Rosie Hymerling's 30+ years of creative support, leadership and stewardship of Markeim. Souls Shot Portrait Project Exhibition – FREE EVENT
Experience a compelling exhibition that features portraits celebrating survivors of gun violence and memorializing those whose lives it has tragically claimed. The Souls Shot Portrait Project Exhibition is compiled by pairing fine artists and subjects. Survivors, family, and friends provide insight and information to inspire the creation of the artwork. This moving collection fosters healing as loved ones are remembered in a positive light, helps bring attention to the epidemic of gun violence, and educates on ways to prevent it. Join us for the January 6th Opening Reception 6pm - 8pm. FREE to the community. Please call Markeim Arts Center at 856-795-6336 or email info@markeimartscenter.org to register your attendance so we can plan accordingly for serving refreshments. Visit www.soulsshotportraitproject.org.
