Daytime Introduction / Intermediate Pottery is offered as an 8-week series with a rolling admission. Three times are available:

MONDAYS
9:15 a.m.-11:45 a.m.

MONDAYS
12 p.m.-2:30 p.m.

THURSDAYS
9:15 a.m.-11:45 a.m.

Adults/Teens

Roll up your sleeves to create with clay! This class will focus on wheel throwing and basic handbuilding techniques. Beginners will start with all the fundamentals while experienced potters will start with a refresher and explore techniques such as:  collaring and bellowing cylinders, lids/jars, throwing off the hump, plates, altered shapes. and two-part throwing. Next-step decorating techniques are also explored. Beginners are welcome and intermediate students will be guided in more advanced techniques.

NOTE: Option to add on 10 Open Studio sessions for $150 (for adult potters). Minimum experience: must have completed or be enrolled in a pottery class at Markeim for experience and orientation to our studio.

The studio is available: Mondays, 9:15 a.m.-11:45 a.m.; 12 p.m.-2:30 p.m. | Thursdays and Sundays, 7 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
