Passover, Purim and Tu B’Shevat Clay Workshop Series

Adults/Teens

Tu B’Shevat, Purim, Pesach! Using Hebrew letter stamps, slip and underglaze try your hand at paper resist, Sgraffito (scratching off to reveal the clay), and to have fun and create a small serving dish or two. Experienced potters may bring a leather-hard piece ready to experiment with these fun surface treatments. Register for multiple workshop dates to apply final glazes and create more and larger pieces. Lawrence Kushner’s Book of Letters describes some of the mystical qualities of Hebrew letters. We’ll have it in the studio to uplift and inspire your dishes. Let your imagination run wild and your soul soar.

Refund requests must be received in writing at least 10 days prior to class start date, addressed to info@markeimartscenter.org. Those requesting a refund may opt to apply full cost of paid tuition to another course registration within 2 semester sessions of the current semester (i.e., Fall I applicable to Fall II or Winter I) – or if preferred, a refund will be processed to the form of payment, less an administrative fee of $30. No refund will be given if canceled within ten days of the start date of the course.
