The Art of Shibori: Traditional Japanese Dyeing
Immerse yourself in the centuries-old art of Shibori, a Japanese resist-dyeing technique known for its intricate beauty and meditative process. Under the guidance of textile artist Rebecca Arceneaux Miller, you’ll explore methods such as binding, stitching, folding, and twisting fabric to create stunning, one-of-a-kind patterns. Join us in the warm, creative atmosphere of our Haddonfield pottery studio for an inspiring journey into this timeless textile tradition. Participants are welcome to bring their own fabric/garments to dye.
Note: This workshop takes place in Markeim’s Clay Studio.
